+ Why use a professional picture hanger?

On the face of it, hanging a picture can seem like a simple process, but to hang a picture safely, securely, and in the perfect position is so much more. We have over 10 years experience in hanging thousands of pictures, so we know what to use to hang it safely and know how to position your piece to maximise its potential. On top of this, you have the peace of mind that what we put up, won’t come down - guaranteed.

+ How much do you charge?

Our standard call out fee for inner Melbourne suburbs is $80, plus our hanging fees, which start at $10 per item. For an accurate quote, please feel free to give us a call or submit an enquiry via our ‘Contact Us’ page.

+ Do you use subcontractors to do your hanging work?

Absolutely not. We are a small family owned business, and are completley hands on with the work we do. Daniel, the owner of Picture Perfect Hanging is the person you will speak to at the time of booking, and will also be the person that arrives at your door to do your hanging.

+ Can you deliver my mirror or artwork?

Yes, we can certainly arrange the pick-up, delivery and hanging of your items. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your needs.

+ What do you use to hang pictures and mirrors on the wall?

That can vary greatly, depending on what we are hanging, what the walls are made from, and a number of other factors. What you can be sure of, is that through our experience, we know what the most appropriate fixings will be to ensure your piece stays up for as long as you want it to.

+ My picture/mirror does not have any fittings on the back, how can it be hung?

We come equipped with all the necessary fittings required to hang your items on the wall, and can add or replace any wires or loops to your pieces, when required.

+ Can you hang my pictures using 3M Command / stick-on hooks?

Unfortunately we can’t, as they do not meet our high standards for safety. We have seen - on far too many occasions - that stick-on hooks fail due to so many varying reasons (weight of the artwork, temperature and humidity changes in the home, and age of the adhesive). For us, it’s just not worth the risk.

+ I live in a rental property, can you hang my pictures?

We can certainly hang pictures in rental properties. We understand that in such a situation, damage to walls is always a concern - both for the tenant and the landlord. We will use minimal fixings in the wall (whilst still maintaining safety), and show you how to easily fill the small holes before you leave. It is also an added peace of mind for the landlord, to know that your pictures are being hung by a professional

+ Do you only hang pictures and mirrors?

Certainly not - we hang a huge range of decorative items. Anything from unique art installations, to clocks, guitars, plates, tapestries, shelves and shadow boxes - if it can be hung on a wall, we can help. + I have traditional picture rails in my home, can you hang on these?

We can definitely hang your pictures using traditional picture rails (which are common in period homes). We will check the rails to ensure they are still safe for hanging pictures on, and we can supply traditional hooks that will suit the profile of your rails.

+ Can you install gallery hanging systems?

Yes we do. There are a number of hanging systems that we can supply and install. These systems will give you the freedom and flexibility to change artwork as you please, whilst not doing damage to your walls with convential picture hanging hooks. + Do you hang televisions?

Unfortunately we don’t. We prefer to specialise in doing what we love, which is pictures and mirrors. There are a number of specialist TV installers based in Melbourne who will be able to help with your TV wall mounting needs.

+ Is your work guaranteed?

Absolutely. We are fully insured, and we guarantee that all our work will stay up for as long as you want it to.
